Inspection Types & Scheduling Process

Inspections are available Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Inspections can be scheduled through the MyGov Portal, Inspection Request phone line (281-485-1434 ext: 118), or the Inspection Request Email Account.  Inspections can be scheduled by BDD4 internally and by contractors in the field.  The MyGov Portal, Inspection Phone Line, and Email Inbox will be checked at 7:00 am each morning.  Inspections can be scheduled 24-hours a day.  Contractors will have until 7:00 am the day of to schedule an inspection.  If an inspection request is received after 7:00 am it will roll over to the following day.  Contractors can request AM or PM inspections, however, it is a request and not guaranteed.


MyGov Portal account setup:

  • Go to bdd4.org/mygov/
  • Select “START HERE – Creating a Collaborator Account” to watch the instructional video;
  • Click the “MyGov Portal” button at the top of the page;
  • Click the “Create a Collaborator Account” button;
  • Fill out New Collaborator Account information & click “Validate Email”;
  • Once your Collaborator Account is set up email inspections@bdd4.org and provide your name, collaborator email address, project name, and address if available;
  • A BDD4 representative will then activate your account and link it to the appropriate project.

When scheduling an inspection, the following information is required:

  • BDD4 Reference ID #
  • Project address or nearest intersection
  • Type of inspection (from list below)
  • Name or person requesting inspection
  • Phone number

  6. Ditch/channel (earthen or concrete)

  8. Concrete (swale, pilot channel, outfall, sloped paving, weir, etc.)
  9. Swale (earthen or concrete)
  10. Inlet/manhole
  11. Lift pump
  12. Final
  13. Existing pond

A Brazoria Drinage District #4 As-Built Certificate and an as-built survey are required to be submitted to the District before a Certificate of Compliance is issued.  A copy of the As-Built Certificate can be found here.
